Thousands of Star Wars fans stood in long lines in Savannah and at theaters all over the US for the opening of Episode Three--Revenge of the Sith.
At midnight, they began showing the final Star Wars installment to the costumed movie goers, some of whom had been in line since 3pm yesterday afternoon.
The first showing was at the Wynsong Two Cinemas behind Savannah Mall. The show was sold out. The 1,200 people were split up into five different theaters.
After the movie, the fans said it was one of the best Star Wars movies ever.
