Glennville park dedicated to Coach William Hall

GLENNVILLE, GA (WTOC) - Youngsters in Glennville will soon have a place to play that honors a local sports legend.

Businessman Zuber Malek and city leaders announced a park that will be named for longtime Glennville and Tattnall County coach William Hall. Hall coached generations of football, baseball and track teams including NFL Hall of Fame members Shannon and Sterling Sharpe.

While Hall coached teams to region and state titles, he calls this gesture one of the biggest.

"I just hope it serves as an inspiration to the youth of Glennville and of Tattnall County," said Hall.

Malek also announced the upcoming construction of a fitness gym on the same site. He hopes to have them both completed in February.
