BEAUFORT CO., SC (WTOC) - The Beaufort County School District Superintendent was evaluated Wednesday night for the first time since facing scrutiny last year.
Some people were calling for Dr. Jeff Moss' resignation after he hired his wife for an administrative position. His wife has since resigned and Moss has resumed his regular duties as superintendent.
Wednesday, the school board called Moss an effective and visionary leader.
Some things they are asking him to keep working on going forward include graduation rate achievement, meeting the needs for special education, targeting the over-aged student population, improving the achievement gap and making sure his staff gets the best training possible.
