RICHMOND HILL, GA (WTOC) - The investigation into the shooting of a baby deer and a cat at Fort McAllister State Historic Park could be over.
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources has announced the arrests of two individuals they believe are responsible.
Back in June, park officials said someone killed the deer, and mortally wounded their beloved park mascot, a cat named Geechee.
After a 4-month long investigation, rangers tell us two people have now been charged. Their names have not yet been released.
