SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Aboriginal Art Gallery officially closed its doors for the last time this week, just two months after robbers killed the owner.

The owner's wife donated boxes of boomerangs and didgeridoos to an after school program in Chatham County. She hopes to continue his love for unique art through her gift.

The program's director says the generous donation goes a long way for the 1,500 kids they serve.

"Having this type of artwork that we can actually put in their hands and touch and talk about where it comes from and those kinds of things, it'll just be invaluable for our students,” said Aldric Dekle, with the 21st Century After School Program.

Police say three masked and armed men killed Kevin Reid in September while he was walking home from dinner with his wife.

So far, no arrests have been made. Police only say the investigation is active.
