Family still seeking answers after man's suspicious New Year's death

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A suspicious New Year’s death, unsolved months and months later. Tuesday, the family of the 19-year-old victim is speaking out.

Dewane Rice was found dead in an abandoned East Bolton Street home at the very beginning of the year. He was missing a few days prior to his body being found.

The investigation continues as Rice's family pleas for answers and an arrest.

"All I would like to know is who? Why? What did my grandson do that was so bad for someone to do this,” asked Sharon Walker, the grandmother of the Dewane Rice.

"We know you guys know something. You're probably scared. You don't want to speak up, but we're just asking for some closure,” said Laquasha Rice, sister of the victim.
