Metro investigating 2 shootings on either side of Augusta Avenue

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department is investigating two separate shootings happening on either side of Augusta Avenue, Thursday night. 

One shooting happened at McIntyre and Richards streets, which were both closed down while detectives investigated. Police say one man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. 

The other shooting took place on the 1300 block of Comer Street, at the corner of Portland Street. It was also closed during the investigation. Police say one adult male was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is now listed in stable condition. 

At this time, it is not known if the shooting are related or not. 

No arrests have been made in either case. Anyone with information should contact SCMPD's confidential tip line at (912) 525-3124 or Crimestoppers at (912) 234-2020. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
