48th Brigade Arrives in Iraq

The largest Georgia Army National Guard deployment since World War II is now in Iraq. More than a week ago, more than 4,000 troops from the 48th Brigade said goodbye to their families before heading to the Middle East.

After a brief stay in Kuwait, soldiers are now moving into Baghdad. They'll join other troops, including the Army's Third Infantry Division.

The 48th Brigade will be there for at least a year.
