The fate of a Savannah man charged with murdering the manager of a Church's Fried Chicken is now in the hands of the jury.
Derek Horne is the accused killer. Prosecutors say he tried to rob the West Bay Street restaurant last February. When the manager, Sean Abraham, tried to get away, police say Horne chased him down and shot him in the head.
The jury started deliberating the case this afternoon. If they convict Horne, he faces life in prison.
The other suspect in the murder, Charles Hill, will be tried at a later date.
