A murder case is getting closer to trial. Police say 41-year-old Anthony Horton shot and killed his 21-year-old girlfriend, Rhonda Rita, on March 1. Today, a grand jury indicted him for her murder.
Police found Rita's body in Horton's parent's home where the couple had been staying. Police are not releasing a motive for the shooting.
Horton can now either plea to the murder or await a trial date. In the meantime he remains behind bars at the Chatham County jail.
