SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Bar food of Savannah hosted a charity event Sunday raising money for the Ronald McDonald House of Savannah.
Attendees were asked to make a $5 donation. Bar Food donated 10% of the sales proceeds to the charity.
The event is being held in honor of WTOC's own Don Logana. The Ronald McDonald House was one of many charities in which Don invested time in. They tell us Don would have been right there raising money along with them if he were here.
"I think that this would be something that if someone else had said 'Hey, i want to do a charitable event for the Ronald McDonald House', I think he would have been one of the first people to jump right on it and give right back," said Adam Messer, Event Organizer. "And, being able to do something in his honor because of what he's done for the community."
The Ronald McDonald House provides a place to stay for families of critically ill or injured children while they receive medical care.
