SOUTH CAROLINA (WTOC) - The South Carolina State Department of Transportation says road closures are down 95 percent.
In a new report, officials say 24 roads remain closed because of the thousand-year flood in October last year. This is also down from the peak 541 road closures.
After Hurricane Matthew this October, 23 roads remain shut down from the peak of 481.
SCDOT officials say the closures from 2015 require full bridge replacements or are dam failures.
