SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Many gathered Monday night for "Taste of the Holidays." A fundraiser for the family of fallen Savannah Master Firefighter Michael Curry.

It included gourmet holiday food from top local chefs, wine tasting, door prizes, raffle prizes, live music and more.
"Seeing the community coming together like this is great. It is what Mike loved, leaning on each other. You lean on me. I'll lean on you. I've got your back. You've got mine. He loved to see the community come together, interact, meet new people and have a good time," said Cameron Curry, Michael's nephew.
"He is the embodiment of what we have in public service here and first responders. Mike Curry represents the very best of the best," said Rep. Buddy Carter.
Carter presented a flag that flew over the U.S. Capitol building to the Curry family.
Nine Line Apparel also presented the family with a check for more than $8,000.
