Top Teen--Brandon Jones

Graduation has a lot of young men and women reflecting back on their high school careers. We found a young man whose list is long, but he is looking toward the future.

We tracked down Brandon Jones just before he graduated from Beach High School. And as always, he was hard at work doing one of the things he loves most, art.

"We draw a lot of things we see in everyday life," he said.

Brandon is most talented at drawing pictures of people and places.

He's also talented at several other things, including JROTC. During his senior year, he stepped up as one of the leaders, helping the freshman adjust to the new environment.

The schools tennis team got a little taste of his leadership too. This past year, Brandon was the number two seed. "It was my last year playing on the team. I'm going to miss that. It was real fun."

And it should have been. Brandon led his team to the regionals, but they fell short and walked away as the number two team next to Glynn Academy.

Now that school's out, he has a full plate once again. "I plan on going to SSU and majoring in bio and pre med and becoming a GYN."

For his hard work and dedication, Brandon Jones is this week's WTOC Top Teen.

Brandon has a busy summer ahead of him. Before the fall semester of college begins, he'll get a head start at SSU by taking summer classes.
