It seems like it's been around forever, but a well-known Savannah-area business is going away. Carson Products makes hair care items, shampoos, conditioners and such.
Cosmetics giant L'Oreal bought Carson five years ago. Now they're closing both the Savannah distribution center and the manufacturing center. One hundred sixty people work there.
They're shifting the jobs to plants in New Jersey, Montreal and Mexico.
L'Oreal says they're offering people here other jobs within the company and, if they don't want to move, some sort of transition package.
