SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Law enforcement officers from around the country met Friday in Savannah.
They discussed issues impacting the Fraternal Order of Police. Guest speaker, attorney and former law enforcement officer Lance LoRusso spoke about officer-involved shootings and how the media and community responds.
"Probably the biggest point that we're trying to make is they have to change their mindset. The vast majority, the vast majority of law enforcement involved use of force incidents are absolutely justifiable. They are absolutely necessary," said Georgia FOP President Randy Robertson.
LoRusso was also on hand to sign and sell copies of his new book. All profits go to law enforcement charities.
