CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - New developments Friday surrounding the case involving a former Savannah Fire captain.
Barry Arnold's jury trial is set to begin April 3. A motion hearing was held Friday with the defense putting in two motions. One to suppress statements, the other claiming Arnold acted in self-defense.
The judge did not decide on either.
Arnold is facing several felony charges, including aggravated assault and possession of a firearm following his arrest in October of 2015.
Prosecutors say he pointed his gun at two people inside of an Applebee's.
