EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - Young artists were celebrated in Effingham County on Monday night.
Select students participated in the sixth annual district-wide art exhibition. It is being held through Thursday at the Effingham College and Career Academy in Rincon.
Monday night, we headed there to check out some of the artwork. The exhibition is to celebrate Youth Art Month and visual arts and education in schools.
"It makes me feel great on what they can see and, also to see what other people accomplished," said 5th grader Chase Whittle, from Ebenezer Elementary School.
"I have high school students and they are so excited about this as well. They love seeing what they've done and have other people recognize their work and their parents come in to see it as well," said Effingham County High School art teacher Donna Holder.
The exhibition is free and open to the public. It is on display now through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
