CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

Local law enforcement will be all-hands-on-deck for the St. Patrick’s Day festivities happening all weekend long.

The Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department says they're focusing on three things this year: over-consumption, underage drinking and disorderly conduct.

If you see something suspicious, they want you to say something. There will be plenty of uniformed officers in the festival zones.

Chatham County Sheriff John Wilcher will also be aiding by sending deputies to help.

"To have enough people on staff, when you’re going to have somewhere between I'd day 375 to 500 people coming in in three days then you got to have more than six people running it. I’m going to have 20 on each shift and I'll people relieve them and back up,” said Sheriff Wilcher.

The jail will stop inmate visitations this weekend to make sure they have enough deputies on staff, on foot and at the jail.
