A smash-and-grab suspect is off the streets. Savannah-Chatham police have arrested one suspect in connection with several smash and grabs in Chatham County a few weeks ago.
On Wednesday night, Savannah-Chatham police arrested 42-year-old Calvin Baskerville.
The burglaries happened at local convenience stores on Highway 17, Abercorn Street and Waters Avenue. Police say Baskerville, along with others, used a vehicle to ram into these stores in the middle of the night and then stole money even cigarettes.
Police do believe more people were involved in these crimes.
