A man is recovering from wounds he received when he was shot during an overnight armed robbery. About 1:15am, Savannah-Chatham police were notified of a possible shooting victim lying on Bolling Street.
They found the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He says he was being robbed when he was shot. The victim was rushed to Memorial Health for treatment.
The person who called in the shooting tells police, a man wearing red shorts and a white T-shirt was walking with a woman in the area when the robbery and shooting took place.
Officers located two men and a woman fitting the description about a block away from where the victim was found. Police detained the three people and they were questioned by detectives. They are still deciding what, if any, charges will be filed.
