Do you like your neighborhood? And do you want it to change in the future? Most don't, but we know that's inevitable.
That's why the Metropolitan Planning Commission is hosting a series of meetings throughout Chatham County. They are sharing their comprehensive plan for future growth with residents.
"Right now, we're in the process of working of updating our comprehensive plan, which will include the future land use map, which we will hope set a policy statement for the updated city and county zoning ordinance that we hope to work on next year," said the commission's Allen Bray.
The MPC hopes residents and business owners will take part in its meetings and voice their concerns about future land use. The next meeting will be held at the MPC hearing room, 110 E. State Street in Savannah, at 6pm on Thursday, June 23.
