SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The president of the State Bar of Georgia and president of the Young Lawyers Division visited America's Second Harvest to launch the 6th annual Georgia Legal Food Frenzy on Thursday.
The Georgia Legal Food Frenzy is a statewide food and fund drive competition among Georgia lawyers and firms. The goal is to raise food and funds for Georgia's eight regional food banks.
"This is a great way for our young lawyers to get involved in their communities, and to enlist the help of citizens around the state. So, we find this to be one of our most productive programs every year, and we are very proud of the efforts of our young lawyers," said State Bar of Georgia President Pat O'Connor.
The competition runs from April 17 to 28. This year's goal is to collect one million pounds of food to donate to food banks around the state.
