SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
Ciro Castro was indicted Thursday for spitting on and threatening a Savannah-Chatham Metro Police officer with a knife in January.
Castro has been charged with aggravated assault, three counts of obstructing an officer and possession of a knife during the commission of a felony.
Castro resisted arrest and attempted to bite one officer, per his indictment.
He also has a separate jury trial set to take place next week following battery charges from an incident in 2016.
