SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Savannah City Council members were given an overview of capital improvement projects in a work session Tuesday.
The list included funding sources for projects like technology updates and cemetery upkeep.
Savannah City Manager Rob Hernadez told the council members that there are a lot of projects to take care of, with a little under 300 so far on the books.
"That's a lot of projects for a city of 150,000 people [and] we only have X amount of resources within the organization that can carry those projects out," said Hernandez.
An update will soon make an interactive list of capital improvement projects accessible to the public on the city's website. The list will be updated every quarter and people will be able to see exactly how and where tax dollars are being spent.
"So often I hear a lot of frustration, that projects aren't moving as quickly as possible. I just want you to keep in mind that the pipeline is just so big and we're trying to push so much through," said Hernandez.
