TYBEE ISLAND, GA (WTOC) -

Officials on Tybee Island are preparing for another busy weekend, as the second Orange Crush is set to begin Thursday night.

A drinking ban will go into effect at midnight. The ordinance restricts drinking in parks, streets, sidewalks, parking lots, boardwalks, and ocean/river water adjacent to beaches and marshes of the city of Tybee.

Mayor Buelterman tells WTOC there will be an abundance of law enforcement present this weekend.

"We're blessed to have supportive jurisdictions around us. They're willing to help us like we help them during St. Patrick's Day," the mayor said.

The drinking ban will be in place all weekend long.
