VARNVILLE, SC (WTOC) -

A scary sight for parents in Varnville after they spot a wounded man lying in a front yard.

That man has been identified as Gregory Kyle Stanley and is currently recovering in the hospital.

It’s been less than a week since Hampton County deputies responded to a shooting that left two people injured. Yesterday they responded to a home on Stanley Loop Road to reports of a male laying in the front yard.

Deputies got the call around 7 that morning. When they got to the house they found Gregory Stanley in the front yard shot multiple times.

Inside they located Christopher Stanley, who goes by Michael with family and friends, dead.

Neighbors say they didn’t hear any gun shots or vehicles during that night and are shocked at the news.

They tell me Christopher Stanley has lived in the home all his life and has been living by himself since his mother passed a few years ago.

Family says he and Gregory were related. At this time a motive has not been identified.

This case is under investigation and has been passed along to SLED. The condition of that victim in the yard is unknown at this time.

The mentioned shooting incident happened Saturday on Mount Sinai Road in Varnville.

When deputies responded to the home they learned that the victims were taken to the hospital.

Quinton Terry is now facing two attempted murder charges related to this incident.
