SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure will take place this weekend in Savannah.

If you haven't signed up yet, you can still do so until 8 p.m. on Friday in Ellis Square. It's $37 to register in Ellis Square and $42 to register on Saturday.

All festivities for the Komen, including the 5K and the kids' race will kick off around 8 a.m. Saturday. You are advised to get there at least an hour early so you'll have time to get ready and park. Survivors will be celebrating in their pink.

We caught up with the executive director of the race on Friday.

"For donations, we like to tell people $100 gets a woman a mammogram, so that is a great donation. When you come to register, we would love that," said Aileen Gabbey. "It's beautiful weather today, so we are encouraging people to come out. This is our biggest fundraiser. What's raised here, stays here. We want people to register, donate, fundraise so we can help people in Coastal Georgia."

We'll have full coverage of the race for you, beginning at 6 a.m. on The News at Daybreak.
