CLAXTON, GA (WTOC) - One person was killed in a wreck Wednesday at the Hwy 280 and Hwy 301 intersection in Claxton.
It happened around 6:15 p.m. According to the Georgia State Patrol, a pickup truck driven by Jeffrey Graham Hobbs, of Vidalia, struck a car on the outskirts of Claxton and apparently kept going. Hobbs then struck another vehicle, forcing that vehicle to hit a third vehicle.
The driver of a white Chevy that was involved in the second incident was killed. That driver has been identified Melody Lynn Sercer, of Collins.
The two other drivers were treated by EMS on scene and released.
Troopers and Claxton police are questioning Hobbs with possible charges pending.
The crash remains under investigation by GSP.
