If you don't have enough drama at your house, you might want to consider sending your children to camp at Savannah's Jewish Educational Alliance. A two-week drama camp is in full swing at the JEA, with a big performance of an original play scheduled for Thursday.
But the new twist in this camp is a writing program that has the campers creating books they're sending to South America.
"We've partnered with a group called Kids Writing for Kids, and it's a learning mission where our students are actually writing books that'll be sent to the English-speaking schools in Belize," explained camp director Karen Nelson.
Folk tales from Belize will be the subject of Thursday's free performance at 6:15pm at the JEA. The public is welcome.
