SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Family and friends gathered to remember a Savannah mother's murder one year ago Friday.
Someone shot 36-year-old Hannah Brown in front of the home where they held the vigil. Her killer is still on the loose.
The night was about remembering Brown's life and the year since her death. Her family still hopes for news of an arrest.
"I have peace about because I'm a God-fearing woman. I pray and I trust God and I believe God but it would just heal a wound. I feel like a thorn has been placed in my side and in my heart," said Uleasa Brown, the victim's sister.
Police have not given an update the investigation. The chief told us last year after the shooting it could have been a case of a mistaken identity.
Brown left behind five children.
