SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department is investigating an incident after a man arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle with a gunshot wound.
Police say a 20-year-old male was shot near the intersection of Augusta Avenue and Brittany Street on Wednesday.
At about 3:45 p.m., officers responded to a "shots fired" call in that area. About 15 minutes, the male victim arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound.
Police say the victim's injuries are not life threatening.
The actual circumstances leading up to the shooting are still under investigation. Investigators do not believe this to be a random shooting.
