SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Ghost Coast Distillery held a grand opening Thursday night in Savannah.
The 17,000-square foot facility on Indian Street is home to a 500-gallon copper pot that produces a wide range of spirits. Ghost Coast is Savannah's first distillery to open since prohibition.
"When you live in such a great town like Savannah who enjoys its libations, we're happy to be a part of it and contribute to that and we're very excited since it's been, it's well overdue and we couldn't be happier to be here," said Ghost Coast Distillery General Manager Chris Sywassink.
Ghost Coast was taking donations during the grand opening festivities for the Tourism Leadership Council Scholarship Fund.
