Pediatric ambulance revealed at Next Generation’s Summer Soiree

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Next Generation's Summer Soiree was held Friday night at the Savannah Yacht Club.

Friday's event was extra special because they could reveal the specialized pediatric intensive care ambulance. Next Generation has been raising money for several years now to buy this ambulance.

They are donating it to the Dwaine and Cynthia Willet Children's Hospital of Savannah. It will help medical personnel transport the smallest of patients using the best equipment possible.

"It is an amazing feeling of accomplishment, just knowing that what we've done for our community. And, it's not even our Savannah community, we represent 35 counties," said Jamie Lane, with the Next Generation.

It took three years to raise the $300,000 needed. Our very own Cyreia Sandlin was the emcee for Friday's event.
