Savannah Electric Crews Reach Florida Panhandle

Crews from Savannah Electric are already heading out to help victims of Hurricane Dennis. One hundred eighteen tree cutters, power line workers and damage assessment employees loaded up their trucks and headed out of town yesterday. They moved into the Florida panhandle this morning.

"With a big storm like this, there's lots of limbs down, things on the road, so it's just good to have the line crews and extra support to get the areas cleaned up as quickly as they can," said company spokesperson Emily Jones.

Officials at Savannah Electric say these crews will be there as long as they're needed.
