SCMPD arrest 2 teens after responding to shots fired

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department's Downtown Precinct officers were able to arrest two men for obstruction and gun-and-drug related charges on Friday.

Officials say close to midnight they responded to a call of shots fired in the 600 block of Cape Street. Reports say an officer approached two males who in the area. The males attempted to get rid of a hand gun and drugs in their possession. The males then fled the scene.

Dameon Duncan, 18, and Jahmz Ransom, 17, were arrested and officers recovered the gun and drugs.

Duncan was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana, obstruction by fleeing and criminal trespass. Rasom was charged with obstruction and criminal trespass.
