SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The effort to end Alzheimer’s continued Monday night in Savannah.

At Queensborough Bank, team members were recruitment for the 2017 Alzheimer's Walk. This year's walk is Saturday, September 30 at Ellis Square.

Right now, the planning committee is on a mission to get the word out and get participants signed up.

"It's very exciting. I've been doing it for over 20 years and every year it's always exciting to bring people together with a common cause and a common goal to end this disease,” said Kendra Tuma, who works on the planning committee for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

This year's fundraising goal is $250,000.
