Hampton Police Officer Danny Singleton was arrested following a three-month long investigation.
South Carolina Law Enforcement Division took the 31-year-old into custody on Wednesday for reportedly dealing drugs to an undercover agent.
If convicted, Singleton faces a penalty of 30 years in prison and fines of $30,000.
Per SLED, Singleton was audio and video-recorded in April of 2017, allegedly selling marijuana and cocaine to an undercover agent.
Singleton is no longer with the department.
The police chief was not available for comment this evening.
