The latest local casualty in the fight against terrorism is Spc. Benyahmin Yahudah, a Third Infantry Division soldier from Ft. Stewart, was killed when car bomb went off near a US military vehicle.
Officials would not confirm whether Yahudah, who's from Bogart, Georgia, was one of 27 people killed in a suicide bombing on Wednesday. One American soldier was killed in that attack in a Baghdad neighborhood. At least 70 other people were wounded.
Hostile attacks have killed more than 1,300 soldiers since the beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
