SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Georgia Senator, Hunter Hill, is throwing his hat into the race for governor.

The Republican was in Savannah Tuesday. WTOC met up with him to ask about his priorities if elected.

"Public safety, transportation, and education. In addition to creating a more limited government here in Georgia, I want to eliminate the income tax. I think it would be a boom for our economy. It would be great for families all across the state," Senator Hill said.

Hill's addition makes four Republicans in the race to replace a limited-term Governor Nathan Deal. He joins Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle, Secretary of State Brian Kemp, and Senator Michael Williams.

For Democrats, in the running is House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams and Representative Stacey Evans.
