PORT WENTWORTH, GA (WTOC) -

A small group of church members coming together for a peace rally and "Stop the Violence" worship service on Saturday.

The pastor of a Port Wentworth church organized the day with a couple others in the community. Their goal is to get out a simple message to those in the community doing harm.

"Their lives are worth much more than  the money that they think they're making now," said Larry D. Duncan, Co-Founder, Savannah Save the Children. "Their lives are worth much than being incarcerated for 25 to 30 years of their young adult lives."

Although Saturday's turnout was small - Duncan hopes to see more faces the next time they meet. He hopes churches, schools and community groups all come together to make a positive difference.
