As the University of Georgia pulls off a top three signing class in 2017, a lot of fans are putting expectations on the newcomers; however, coaches don't quite see it that way.
"I think the expectation is a big word that you say for a freshman, what is the expectation, my expectation is to go out there today, and know how to line up and do the five coverages we have in, that's my expectations when we do special teams," says head coach Kirby Smart. "My expectations would be for them to be first in line, and to be first down in coverage, because they are both fast, they're both physical, and that's it, I can't put an expectation and say you're going to start, you're going to be this on this, you can't do that to a kid."
Smart says it's a 27 practice process, and that the new players aren't going to just get it overnight.
