Bananas return home to save season during Game 2

The Savannah Bananas are playing to keep their season alive Friday night.

The Bananas know what they face - a must win game against the Gastonia Grizzlies after dropping Game 1 of the series on Thursday.

The Bananas hope Friday night's game is not the final night of the 2017 season. They need a win at home to force Game 3 of this Western Conference Championship.

But Savannah still feels good - they are at home where they've been plenty comfortable all year thanks to 26 sellouts.

"You know, the fact that we were able to get some home field advantage, you look at our record away versus home, and that's a testament to the amazing crowd and fans here in Savannah," said Sean West, Bananas Manager. "So we feel good. The guys are, like I said, having fun and playing good baseball."

West and the Bananas hope that home field advantage will continue.

First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. The Bananas hoping to keep their Petitt Cup title defense intact.

We will have those game highlights tonight on THE News at 11.
