SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department's Traffic Investigation Unit has determined that a man who was reported as missing on Saturday night was the sole victim of a fatal crash on I-516

39-year-old Gregory Karasick was last seen exiting a business in the 11200 block of Abercorn Street late Friday evening. Police believe that Karasick was on his way home on Friday evening when his vehicle exited the roadway while he was traveling along the exit ramp from I-516 to I-16. The automobile came to rest in a ravine.

WTOC initially reported about a vehicle crash on Saturday evening that closed northbound I-516 at I-16. We have since learned that Saturday's road closure on I-516 was the result of officers finding Karasick and his vehicle.

The crash continues to remain under investigation.
