SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department's Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating after a pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a car on Sunday on 204 at King George Boulevard.

A little after 2:30 p.m. officers responded to the scene to find an injured pedestrian and three damaged vehicles.

A 70-year-old man and a 25-year-old man were both traveling westbound on 204 when the 70-year-old attempted to change lanes. He hit the right side of the 25-year-olds vehicle.

The impact sent the 25-year-old's vehicle into the median where a 35-year-old male was standing. He could not get out of the way and was hit by the vehicle.

He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. A passenger in the 25-year-old's vehicle was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Another vehicle was damaged by flying debris.
