Goodwill is giving incentives to donate this week, a week before the tax-free holiday in Georgia. They're partnering with Oglethorpe Mall to help you win some new clothes when you donate your old ones.
Just drop off your donations at the mall between July 28 and July 31 for a chance to win a mall gift certificate.
Goodwill representatives say this is a perfect time to make room for your new clothes and purchases by donating your old items. Not only will you be helping others, you'll also get a break on your income taxes.
Goodwill Industries of the Coastal Empire president & CEO William Oakley said, "We expect a great response. Obviously, shoppers have been very responsive to tax-free weekends in both Georgia and South Carolina and we certainly expect them to respond to us as well."
Georgia's tax-free shopping weekend begins next Thursday, July 28. South Carolina's is the following weekend, starting Friday August 5.
