There was a very special birthday celebration at the home of the Third Infantry Division. This afternoon, family members of deployed soldiers gathered to celebrate the Army Community Service's 40th birthday. This year's theme was a Hawaiian luau.
Army Community Service is important support for the families, covering every aspect of military life.
"From the time that child is born to parenting, to domestic violence, dealing with financial issues, relocating to the post, off of the post, mobilization, deployment, you name it we do it," said ACS member Lucia Braxton.
Despite the heat, everybody seemed to have a good time.
