Injured Deer Recovering at Local Clinic

A local animal hospital is doing all it can to help an injured doe. A few weeks ago, someone found a three-month-old doe on the side of the road. The deer had a broken leg and several sores on her body. They brought her to the Coastal Animal Care Clinic, where workers there named her Baby.

Dr. Terri Sparks is helping rehabilitate Baby and even brought in an orthopedic surgeon to operate on the young doe. "Otherwise she had to be put down and she needs a chance, too," Dr. Sparks said. "You look in to her eyes and you cant help but want to help her."

Baby will spend three more weeks at the animal hospital and then will be sent to a sanctuary.
