Four 48th Brigade Soldiers Killed in Iraq

Four soldiers from the 48th Brigade were killed after a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee. It happened around 11 p.m. Saturday night while they were on patrol in Southwestern Baghdad. The soldiers were members of Task Force Baghdad. The attack comes less than a week after four other 48th Brigade soldiers died in a roadside bomb explosion.

The 4,300 member 48th Brigade is the largest combat unit of the Georgia National Guard to deploy since World War Two. They arrived in Iraq in May.
