A standoff ended peacefully and hopefully it will end a string of burglaries in Screven and Burke Counties. Tuesday afternoon, a Sylvania woman came home to find two men burglarizing her house. She chased them away, but they didn't get very far. Police spotted the two on a nearby porch.
Willie Lee Branch was caught out front, Deondray Johnson ran inside. When the GBI and state patrol SWAT team arrived, Johnson surrendered.
Both remain in the Screven County jail.
